  • MAYBERRY PAINTS!

    Join us for a fun and creative time with our paint party featuring a Mayberry theme. The party is led by Kayla Ellis. She will provide complete step-by-step instructions with light tracings.  YES you can customize your colors and details.

    The class will get to view an exclusive video featuring Betty Lynn discussing her visual arts career.

    Artists of all ages are welcome to attend. Coming in from out of town? No worries - all supplies are provided: 14 X 11 canvas, brushes, paints and more!

    Mayberry Days is officially recognized on Friday morning when Mount Airy's Mayor, City and County officials and other distinguished guests gather to acknowledge the importance of the festival and honor the Special Guests.

  • GUIDED TOURS OF THE ANDY GRIFFITH PLAYHOUSE LOBBY, AUDITORIUM, and BACKSTAGE

    Monday, September 23 at 11:00 a.m. & 2:00 p.m.
    Tuesday, September 24 at 11:00 a.m. & 2:00 p.m.
    Wednesday, September 25 at  11:00 a.m. & 2:00 p.m.
    Thursday, September 26 at 12:30 p.m.
    Saturday, September 28 at 11:30 a.m.

    $4 per person
    Purchase a ticket at the Andy Griffith Museum and meet Abigail at the Andy Griffith Playhouse Portico (brick arches in front) to begin the tour.

    This is a special opportunity for a special tour of the Andy Griffith Playhouse. Hear about the history of the building and go "behind the scenes" to see backstage, dressing rooms, and special prints and photographs on the walls and hallways with even more exhibits from Andy Griffith's career in entertainment.

    Each tour will have a limited number of people.

  • AUTOGRAPH SESSIONS

    Special Guests will be available for autographs, photos, and memorabilia sales during the festival. Not all guests will be at every location or the entire time, depending on their schedule. Enjoy the Mayberry Memories scrolling on the screen in the Betty Wright Room of the Arts Center.

    Note there is a nominal fee for each autograph.

    Enjoy Mayberry fun in the Pinic Area with Otis Tile Therapy (painting), face painting, sidewalk chalk, checkers, Ernest T. Bass Rock Throwing Competition sponsored by Vulcan Materials - don't miss the hardharts for the little ones (while supplies last). Vulcan says "safety first" when you're throwing rocks! The Ernest T. Bass Rock Throwing trophy will be presented Saturday at 3:00 p.m.

    Send your friends a letter or postcard from Mayberry Days with this year's Mayberry Days postmark featuring Otis on a "horse that gives milk."  Pre-stamped postcards and envelopes are available or you can request the postmark on your own letter or postcard.

    It is only available during the festival week and changes every year.

  • MAYBERRY DAYS PARADE

    Saturday, 9:00 a.m.
    From Truist Bank/Independence Blvd to the Andy Griffith Playhouse

    The parade down Main Street and Rockford Street to the Andy Griffith Playhouse is the start off the biggest day of the festival with all the Special Guests, tribute artists, marching bands, TAGSRWC chapters, squad cars and a whole lot of fun!

  • WBMUTBB AUCTIONS

    Saturday, 10:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
    Blackmon Amphitheatre

    Live and Silent Auctions Sponsored by "Who's Been Messing Up The Bulletin Board?" TAGSRWC Internet Chapter

    Unique Mayberry items, autographed memorabilia and handcrafted items from members of the WBMUTBB online chapter of TAGSRWC are always a part of the auction. Come to the amphitheatre and see things that are not available anywhere else and take home a one-of-kind Mayberry items.

    100% of the proceeds from this annual service project go to the Surry Arts Council in support of Mayberry Days.

    $5 per card - Advanced tickets available at the Mayberry Days Info Tent or at the door

    Join Host Dick Adkins (Producer of "Murder in Coweta County") for fun and exicting rounds of BINGO to win fun Mayberry prizes.

    Purchase a ticket in advance at the SAC Office Monday-Thursday or at the Mayberry Days Info Tent on Friday and Saturday and exchange for a card at the door.

    Tickets are available at the SAC Offices on Monday-Thursday and at the Info Tent on Friday and Saturday

  • MAYBERRY DAYS CHAPEL

    Sunday at 9:30 a.m.
    Blackmon Amphitheatre

    The church bell at Haymore Baptist Church (where Andy Griffith's family attended) will ring at 9:30 a.m. to start the Mayberry Days Chapel. Enjoy special music and a message from Neal Brower to start the final day of the festival.
