    • Clogging Classes

      Tuesdays

      SAC Dance Studio

Clogging classes are now part of the Surry Arts Council Dance Program! Contact the Surry Arts Council at 336.786.7998 for additional information.

Clogging is one of the fastest growing dance forms in the nation and is among the most versatile. From bluegrass to hip-hop, clogging is a high-energy, fast-paced rhythmic form of expression that is as tradition-rich as it is modernly fresh. It has been called 'the melting pot of step dances,' and this still proves true as clogging continues to adapt to today's contemporary culture. With influences from around the work, clogging's heritage is vividly colored and well-rounded; at present it is no different, embracing whatever is current, allowing any idea to develop its expression.
